Swanage Trip - 26/05/23

Following the successful trip in 2022, we are repeating it in 2023 but with a twist.

We are booked on with Divers Down this time.

The dates have been confirmed as arriving Friday 26th May, Leaving Sunday 28th May.

The costs for 2023 is £150 for the 4 planned boat dives plus accommodation in the Swanage Auberge, this was £25/Night in 2022, prices to be confirmed for 2023.

Diving is from a hard boat with a lift.

If you have never been to Swanage before then you don't know what you are missing.

We will be looking to do 2 Dives each day. It’s a good idea to travel down on a Friday Afternoon or early evening so that you are there refreshed and ready for Saturday. We base ourselves on the pier and park on the pier. It’s a short walk along the pier to the boat loading area/pontoon. 

Diving this time is with Divers Down; they operate shuttle trips from there 3 times a day depending on tides and times. 

We have booked the following dives:- 

Saturday - 9:15 - Valentines Tanks (15m), 15:50 - Kyarra (30m) 

Sunday - 10:40 - Aeolian Sky (30m), 13:30 - Fleur de Lys (13m).

Of course conditions will dictate the final choices. 

The Sunday dives get completed early Sunday afternoon and then you travel home and be back home for early evening.

You can also dive under the pier for free. 

There is an air filling station on the pier, a dive shop run by ‘Divers Down’, and a very nice café that was refurbished last year. There are some public toilets on the pier. 

Swanage is a lovely little town with bars and restaurants and the whole area is beautiful. 

Swanage is 253 miles from the dive shop and travel time is around 4½ to 5 Hrs on a good run.
