PADI Digital IDC Crew Pack eLearning

For candidates who are already certified as PADI Divemasters and intend to do their IDC training, Why not start online Today! The online course focuses on preparing you to function as a PADI Assistant Instructor or Open Water Scuba Instructor by introducing you to the complete PADI System. The course focuses your ability to use all components of the system as a professional dive educator.

It will mean less new theory presentations and more time to concentrate on water work and teaching workshops during the IDC course.

The sections you will complete are:

  • Learning, Instruction and the PADI System
  • General Standards and Procedures
  • Risk Management
  • Marketing Diving
  • Start Diving
  • Teaching PADI Specialty Diver Courses
  • Business of Diving
  • Keep Diving
  • How to Teach the Recreational Dive Planner (RDP) – required for crossover candidates; optional for PADI Members

Following your enrolment into the course, the PADI eLearning system will take you through a number of alternative sections aimed at educating you in IDC practices.

The online system showcases videos, imagery, text and audio and allows you to interact with it in order to learn efficiently, and at your own pace.

Because there are quizzes after each learning section, you can test your knowledge as you go and correct or review anywhere you have made an error, or anything you may have missed.

This IDC eLearning option will attract an extra charge, however it is paid directly to PADI and allows access to the online learning system – a convenient way to learn.

The IDC eLearning pack is a requirement to start the AI Course.

What's in the eLearning pack?

The PAD Digital E-Learning IDC Crew pack includes all the digital materials needed to prepare for a PADI Assistant Instructor or Open Water Scuba Instructor course.

The 23-item pack includes:

  • Instructor cue cards for PADI's core courses (OW, AOW, Rescue and Divemaster).
  • IDC Candidate Workbook and related reference materials.
  • Lesson planning slates for confined and open water.
  • Quiz and exam booklets for the core courses.
  • Specialty outlines for Project AWARE.
  • PADI Rucksack.

    What equipment will I need?

    Along with the section of dive equipment contained in Dive Theory eLearning, you can gain additional knowledge about equipment by studying with Equipment Specialist eLearning. Your PADI Dive Center/Resort staff or your PADI Instructor can provide additional information about dive gear that will be useful throughout your diving career.

    For the RDP section, you’ll need to have both the RDP Table and eRDPML. If you don’t already have these, check with your local dive center to get advice about everything you’ll need.
