PADI Sidemount Diver
The PADI Sidemount Diver course is an amazing freedom way to experience real freedom of movement underwater. Sound like something that may be for you? Sidemount diving offers a different approach to equipment configuration. It takes redundancy to a new level and for many divers who try sidemounts for the first time. The knowledge that their breathing systems are in view at all times is a massive comfort.
PADI Sidemount Diver what will I do?
Your sidemount training will show you how to adapt your current diving skills developed in conventional back mounted BCD/wing configuration for use with sidemount. The course develops your ability to assemble, configure and understand how to safely use sidemount equipment. Furthermore you will develop the knowledge to plan, manage and execute sidemount dives within your current certification limits.
What scuba gear will I use?
We will provide all your basic sidemount diving equipment, including sidemount cylinders, sidemount regulators and a Hollis SMS Katana sidemount system. We will also provide drysuit and undersuit for your open water dives free of charge. Although all your sidemount gear is included basic mask, snorkel and fins are not included at this level. We would also strongly advise you invest in a sidemount system during your course, but please speak to your Sidemount Instructor before purchasing any equipment.
What next?
Go out and have fun and once you have built up some experience with Sidemount diving you will probably want to look at completing the PADI Tec Sidemount Diver Course or the PADI Tec40 Diver Course if you meet the other pre-requisites for this course.
