What year did you start diving?

2016

What made you take up diving?

I was on holiday in Portugal and signed up for a try dive while I was there. Even though I struggled with it to begin with (I was very anxious about being underwater), I knew it was something that I would love doing if I could get through the initial training. So doing that, and then getting my Divemaster certification last year is one of my proudest personal achievements.

What is your favourite bit of dive kit and why?

My Oceanic Proplus X console computer, which is similar to the one in the link. It's fully integrated in that it attaches to your high pressure hose and replaces your gauges, so you have spot on figures for depth, gas time remaining, no deco time, ascent rate etc  throughout your dive - all right in front of you on a big bright screen, as well as a built in electronic compass. And then, when you are done, it just whizzes everything off to your dive log by Bluetooth!

What is your favourite place to dive in the UK?

St.Abbs - a beautiful place both above and below the waves.

What's the best place to dive outside the UK?

Egypt has been the best so far. I have done three liveaboards there. Each one has been different but there has always been something spectacular on each trip. And the reefs are just generally teeming with all sorts of life.

What's your favourite critter?

I've not dived with dolphins yet - they are definitely high up on my bucket list!

What's the best thing about working with Dream Divers?

We are a great team who all love what we do, and work hard to pass that on to others. We're like a second family really!
